He was UN/EDIFACT Rapporteur for Asia and UN/CEFACT Rapporteur for Asia from September 1990 to May 2004, and UN/CEFACT Plenary Vice-Chair from March 1997 to May 2004. He established the AS/EB (Asia EDIFACT Board, current AFACT) in 1990 by Japan and Singapore, then the AS/EB was reformed to the AFACT (Asia Pacific Council for Trade Facilitation and e-Business).
He is a member of TMG since its former organization AC.1 was established in 1993.
